“What does the word _______ mean to you?” Discuss different ideas offered by various students.

“Have you ever demonstrated _______ in your life? In what way and what happened?”

“Have you ever seen anyone else demonstrate _______ in their lives? In what way and what happened?”

“Write about a time when you demonstrated _______ in your life. Tell the story using as much vivid description as you can. In the story explain what happened, how you used the quality or value and what the result was. How did you feel at the end.”

Do a pair share or triad share to close this activity. Discuss results with the whole class.
